Did you know that your Mac and your iPhone come with high quality dictionaries?

Import a custom dictionary in Word. The Custom Dictionaries dialog box in Word lists the available custom dictionaries the application can use to check spelling. If the dictionary that you want to use — for example, one that you purchased from a third-party company — is installed on your computer but not listed in the Dictionary list box, you can add it. Add a word to macOS' dictionary. To add a word to macOS' dictionary, you'll need to type that word into a program that uses the dictionary. I'm going to use TextEdit, as it's readily available to all Mac users: Open a Finder window, navigate to the ‘Applications' folder and launch the TextEdit app. The Custom Dictionaries dialog box lists the available custom dictionaries the program can use to check spelling. If the dictionary you want to use, such as one purchased from a third-party company, is installed on your computer but not listed in the Dictionary list box, you can add it. Open the Custom Dictionaries dialog box by following the steps in the Open the Custom Dictionaries dialog. In the Dictionary app on your Mac, type a word or phrase in the search field in the upper-right corner of the Dictionary window. Note: If you add another Dictionary source, wait for it to download completely before searching for a word or phrase. Also import of cls files into Excel doesn't work in MS Office 2016 on Mac as of September 2017. So I had to create a class module and to copy and paste the contents of Dictionary.cls manually in that module while removing meta info from Dictionary.cls such as VERSION 1.0 CLASS, BEGIN, END, Attribute.
